Eligibility
If you have a spouse
If you have a spouse, they are automatically your beneficiary. If your spouse wants to waive their beneficiary right, you must submit the Nomination of beneficiary (pre-retirement) form with the Spouse's waiver of beneficiary right to benefits in a pension plan, locked-in retirement account, life income fund or annuity before pension or annuity payments start form. Note: changing your beneficiary information in My Account will not remove your spouse as primary beneficiary.
If you do not have a spouse
You can name your beneficiary(ies) online if you have not retired.
If you are a limited member
Submit the Nomination of beneficiary (for limited member) form.
