Leaving a job with an employer participating in the plan? Find out what you can do with your plan contributions.

Apply for an immediate pension

You can apply for your pension after leaving your job if you have reached your earliest retirement age.

Your pension may be reduced if you are:

• Under 60 years old
• 60 years old but under 65, with less than two years of contributory service

For police and firefighters:

• Age 50 and less than 55, with two or more years of contributory service, and your age plus services is less than 80
• Age 55 and less than 60, with fewer than two years of contributory service
