How pension contributions work

You contribute to your pension through automatic payroll deductions. Your employer also contributes to your pension. 

How are contributions invested?

Plan assets are managed by the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation (BCI). Guided by the board's Statement of Investment Policies and Procedures, the plan's assets are invested in a range of investments. Asset classes include:

• Money market
• Bonds
• Canadian equities
• Global equities
• Emerging market equities
• Real estate
• Mortgages
