Peter Urbanc

Peter Urbanc is CEO of the Municipal Finance Authority of BC, a unique municipal agency that provides infrastructure lending and investment services to its local government members across BC.

Peter has over 30 years of experience in global banking, investments and governance in both the private and public sectors. He previously held various director-level positions in Canada, the US and Europe as an investment banker, and acted as the executive director and treasurer of the Province of Nova Scotia. Peter’s governance experience includes serving as a director of the Nova Scotia Pension Services Corporation and trustee of both the Nova Scotia Teachers’ Pension Plan and the Nova Scotia Public Service Long Term Disability Plan Trust. He holds a bachelor of commerce from McGill University and an MBA from the J. L. Kellogg School of Management.
