Gary has been a national representative for Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) since 1997 and has the role of the Pension and Airline coordinator in British Columbia.

In his role as pension coordinator, Gary takes the lead on pension issues in British Columbia. He has worked with defined benefit, defined contribution and hybrid pension plans. He is staff advisor to the CUPE BC pension committee, a representative on the Municipal Employees Pension Committee and chair of Municipal Employees Pension Advisory Committee.

In his role as airline coordinator, Gary focuses on airline locals under the CUPE Airline Division, specifically out of Vancouver and Toronto.

Gary has more than 20 years’ of experience providing airline locals with labour relations advice and support (negotiations, organizing, grievances and arbitrations), and contract administration.
