Board trustees

Meet BC's Municipal Pension Board of Trustees.

Todd Schierling

Appointed by: British Columbia Professional Fire Fighters' Association and the British Columbia Police Association
Board term: 2023–current

Todd was acclaimed president of the BC Professional Fire Fighters Association in June 2023. He was secretary/treasurer from 2016 to 2023. Todd has served on several BCPFFA committees, including collective bargaining, database, governance, finance and pension. From 2006 to 2016 he held executive board positions of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1271 as treasurer, registrar and trustee.

In June 2023, Todd joined the Members’ Employee Pension Committee, and currently holds the position of secretariat.

Todd has been with the Surrey Fire Service since 1996 and holds the rank of captain in the Suppression Division.

Todd is excited about the opportunity to serve on the board of trustees and looks forward to becoming an active member on committee and board level.
