Haemant is appointed by the Council of Joint Organization and Unions (COJOU) as an Alternate trustee and has been on the board of trustees since 2025.
He is the president of IUOE Local 882, chair for The SFU Polyparty Negotiations, approver and signatory on the Hospital Employees’ Union (HEU)/Facilities Bargaining Association (BA) Education Fund and sits on the President’s Council with CUPE K-12 BC negotiations.
